Clean Cooking Accelerator Initiative
Nearly a billion people across Africa still rely on traditional cooking fuels such as wood and charcoal, increasing household air pollution and associated health risks. The Clean Cooking Accelerator Initiative, launched at the IEA's 2026 Ministerial, is a collaboration among Energy Corps, the Clean Cooking Alliance, The Rockefeller Foundation, and the Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet. It aims to move clean cooking from national ambition to funded, on-the-ground delivery, empowering families toward modern clean cooking methods that facilitate opportunity and economic development. Energy Corps is a proud founding contributor and private-sector mobilization partner.

Focus & Impact
Expanded capacity where decisions get made. Through a competitive two-year fellowship managed by nonprofit impact accelerator CoAction Global, with technical guidance from the Clean Cooking Alliance, Clean Cooking Fellows are deployed to support African government institutions in Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire, and Mauritania to strengthen policy, planning, and delivery capacity aligned with Mission 300.
From strategy to investable projects. Fellows support governments in advancing policy reforms, strengthening institutional capacity, and shaping early-stage project pipelines.
Initiative Grantees
CoAction Global. Through the Mission 300 Fellowship and with Energy Corps support, CoAction Global deploys Clean Cooking Fellows to African government institutions to accelerate national clean cooking strategies and advance more effective, coordinated, resilient energy delivery systems. Energy Corps' support strengthens the clean cooking pillar within the larger, multi-country Mission 300 Fellowship effort.
Clean Cooking Alliance. A founding collaborator in the Initiative, the Clean Cooking Alliance is equipping the selected Fellows with structured training, analytical support, and curated technical tools.
