The New Producers for Sustainable Energy (NP4SE) is a peer network of energy-producing governments in the Global South working toward sustainable, equitable development. With Energy Corps’ support, NP4SE is giving small, under-resourced government teams better access to expertise and data, helping them make more informed energy decisions while keeping human judgment and national control at the center.

Capacity for Small Government Teams. Emerging energy producers make complex decisions about infrastructure, investment, regulation, and emissions with small teams and limited access to specialized expertise. NP4SE uses technology to give those teams better access to the information and tools they need.
AI That Supports, Not Replaces, Judgment. A Sovereign AI Advisory Desk turns 14 years of peer lessons and expert analysis into on-demand guidance for regulators across 25 member-country governments. A built-in “Modesty Lens” presents multiple regulatory options rather than a single answer, and complex or high-risk questions are routed to human experts.
Independent Emissions Oversight. An AI-Augmented National GHG Dashboard helps regulators independently track and verify emissions data — integrating satellite data to identify methane leaks and venting — supporting both environmental oversight and energy security.
Built on Data Sovereignty. Anonymization, secure environments, human review, and local data-residency safeguards are built into the model, so sensitive government and commercial data stay protected and under national control.
Project Funded
NP4SE will build two AI-enabled tools that give small, under-resourced government teams in emerging energy-producing countries better access to expertise, all without replacing human judgment. An AI Advisory Desk will turn NP4SE’s 14 years of peer lessons and expert analysis into on-demand, advisory guidance for regulators across its network of 25 member-country governments. A separate AI-Augmented National Greenhouse Gas Dashboard, will help regulators independently track and verify emissions data — integrating satellite data to spot methane leaks — while keeping sensitive government and commercial data protected and under national control. This Dashboard will enable export and reduce methane emissions.
