Health & Well-Being. Clean water is essential to good health, yet over 400 million people across Africa lack access to safe, clean H2O. Providing safe, reliable water fights disease and extreme poverty for millions.
Opportunity & Economic Empowerment. With less time devoted to collecting water, women and families gain back hours for work, study, family events, and income-generating activity.
Project Funded
This project will install a large-scale, solar-powered water pumping system in a rural African village that lacks access to clean water. The system—which includes a water tower, 10,000 litre tank, solar panels and monitoring system—is capable of delivering on average 30,000 liters of water per day, enough to serve the needs of over 3,000 people.
