Mike Howard is Chairman and CEO of Howard Energy Partners (HEP), the privately held company he founded fourteen years ago to build a values-driven, high-impact enterprise delivering reliable energy infrastructure while strengthening the communities it serves. Under his leadership, HEP has grown into a diversified, multibillion-dollar midstream energy company operating across four U.S. states and Mexico. His work reflects a conviction that affordable, dependable energy is foundational to economic growth and human progress.

Prior to founding HEP, Mike served as President of Midstream for the largest division of a Fortune 100 energy company and held senior leadership roles in several publicly traded energy firms. Throughout his career, he has led teams developing major infrastructure projects across multiple oil and gas basins and was actively involved in the shale revolution.

Mike currently serves on the Board of Directors of HEP, Atlas Energy Solutions (NYSE: AESI), TXOGA, INGAA, and Jonah Energy LLC. He is also active in philanthropic and civic leadership, serving on numerous boards, including the Texas A&M University–Kingsville Foundation, the San Antonio Academy, Energy Corps, and the Switch Energy Alliance. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University–Kingsville.
