Focus & Impact

Efficient, effective growth. ERI is expert in understanding the interplay of factors that lead to socioeconomic growth. The insights we gain from this research will inform the design and implementation of current and future Energy Corps projects.

ROI for funders and partners. By understanding the models of energy utilization that foster rapid socio-economic development and transformation, Energy Corps will be able to demonstrate optimized return-on-investment that both maximizes benefit to our partners in the field, and provides a measure of assurance for our funders in industry and philanthropy.

How, and why, does an economy grow? Energy is essential, of course, but there are many other factors at play, as well. This ERI-led study will assess the resources, factors and policies that best lead to healthy economic growth (called the “energy-growth nexus”). Based on analysis of communities in Viet Nam, Ethiopia and Bangladesh, the study will offer clear, actionable insights for policymakers, private sector investors and development practitioners.
